"WHOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO"

After leaving the office today, I'm off until Monday! YIPEE!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but it's a job, and I love to be home during the day. Seems I'm never home during the day. I plan on finishing the un-decorating of the Christmas stuff....I'm so over Christmas and ready for this place to be put back together again. Also, planning to sleep in, hanging with my BFF's and we're planning a sleep over for Rylle and Tanner and just generally hanging out and planning for the New Year.

  4. You do many kind, loving things for me
  5. You love my children and grandchildren as if they were your own
  6. You want me to be the best person I can be
  7. You love me!
  8. You make the best breakfasts
  9. You have a strong testimony of the gospel
  10. You have your own personal ROSE GARDEN and you pick them once a week
  11. You always put me before yourself
  12. You make me laugh
  13. You honor your PRIESTHOOD!
Thank you NT for 13 wonderful years!

Here's what happens when the grandkids get ahold of Grandma's camera!

Keep the Sabbath Day Holy

I'm thankful to be able to worship as I please. I'm thankful for Sundays, for my ward and especially to be able to partake of the Sacrament every Sunday.

It's beginning to look a lot like Turley's............

Finally.......the Christmas tree is down, cleaned up, put in storage and out of sight for now. Never been so tired of having the tree up as this year. 3 months is just a little too long to have the tree up.....never again!

Still working on the rest of the house, I'll keep you posted as to how it's going and show you pictures of the dining room and kitchen when Christmas disappears from those rooms too. Til then........here's the living room completed. At last..............ready for the sabbath tomorrow.

Jaden beating Brother Turley at pool!

Jaden brought cheesecake over tonight and he and Brother Turley decided to play a couple of games of pool. Guess who always wins? Yep, Jaden! Ofcourse, Brother Turley said it's because he lets him win, but Jaden will argue differently.

Our pool table seldom gets used, unless the grandkids or kids from the ward drop by.....like tonight.

I'm knee deep in cleaning up after Christmas......so things are a mess and I'd better get busy!

2008 The year of the Polka Dots...comes to an end

I'm taking down the Christmas decorations.......thought I'd take a few pics to remember the polka dots......everywhere. Quite different decor for me this year....it all started with the red ornaments from the dollar store, paint on a few polka dots and this is what you end up with. I'm already starting to get ideas for next year......stay posted for some fun ideas! Thanks to my niece Emily for the darling treat plate...and it's polka dotted too, how did you know Em?

My BFF, Marla, and I went bargin shopping today......looking for Christmas decorations for our homes. We started at Hobby Lobby, big deal, 50% off, they've been 50% off since forever, then on to Orange Patch, 50% off.....good stuff! We had to wait in line to get in and wait in line to check out, but we found some fun stuff at a great price. Then to "Crackers" for lunch and then on to Poppy's..... (Poppy's was empty!) only found a couple of things, then to return something to Cost Co....and hardly a line in the return department......yipee.......then we ended up at the Decor Store.......and we were in big trouble! Found lots of good stuff.....so we're looking forward to decorating with our new stuff next year.

Christmas is now complete!

Santa delivered Levi, our great-grandson this evening.........straight from CO. Oh yeah, his mom and dad came too, but Levi and grandma finally connected.........the secret to his heart and to grandma's heart is.........ICE! We both love it and we crunched it together and bonded. Thanks Matt and Erin for coming to visit! Wish you lived closer........we could always use a good dentist.

Merry Christmas to all!

Finally, Christmas is here and soon to be behind us. Seems it really came in a hurry this year! I've had my tree up since the boutique and that was in October....whew, I'll be glad to get things put up and cleaned up.

We had a great breakfast at Newel's brother's, Buster, then on to see his Mom who is 101. She had a rough night, but was excited to open her new pair of pajamas we brought for her.

Teri, Sean, Meghan, Sean, Heather, Cecelia, Rylle and Tanner will be here at 3:00 for more food and presents.

If I can figure out the camera I hope to post some current pictures.....keep your fingers crossed.

Friday night sleep over....what I live for!

Rylle and Tanner had their usual sleep over tonight....what a blast! They both like to sleep on our bedroom floor...go figure!

They like to sleep in their sleeping bags, or as Tanner says, "bean bags." Tonight after his bath I was helping Tanner get his "bean bag" ready, he said, "I can do it Grandma, all by myself, it's like going to Science Camp, I have to practice." Don't have any idea where that came from.

My grandkids love cookie dough, but who doesn't, except grandpa, oh well. Anyway, Rylle wanted a Kit Kat and cookie dough to take in the "bean bag" with him. I said, "Rylle, you really shouldn't have both, choose one or the other, he said, "remember, it's Grandma's house....anything goes!" Gosh I love those little guys to death!
