What has happened to the {{hood}}?

This is the house on one side of us.......empty.
No grass, it's a rental and it looks like it.
It could be a nice home, just needs a little TLC.....

This is the house on the other side of us........empty too.
It was a short sale. An investor bought it and is fixing it up and will put it up for sale. It will be a nice home.....just needs someone to move in that will love it and care for it.

Gross.....you can't believe the way they left this home....
I don't know how some folks can live like this!

This is the house across the street from us.....
unkept with a bunch of junky cars sitting all around.
This home will soon be empty....they're moving, thank goodness.

Every day as we say our prayers we pray for good families to move into our {{hood}}. Someone that will care for these homes, and be good neighbors.

I love my home.....and I'd like to surround myself with folks who love their homes too. If you know of anyone~let me know...we're looking for good neighbors!!

Practice what I Preach........

When my kids were little they hated to clean up the kitchen when it was their turn....
Well, so does their Momma!
I remember telling them, it will only take you 5 minutes once you get started...but it's the getting started that is so HARD!
I usually do a little something~then take a break~then do a little something more~then get distracted and go do something else entirely......
I think I just might be ADD....what do you think?
So, here it is 10:00 and I still have to finish the kitchen....
maybe I need to "practice what I preach"!~

And.....exactly 7 minutes later ....... a {{tidy}} kitchen.

Why do I put it off so long?

If I had 15 extra minutes, this is what I'd do~

Call my BFF

Call one of my kids
Call my hubby
Vacuum the TV room
Check my FaceBook
Look at my newest magazine

Update my calendar
Throw in a load of laundry
Pour me a cold one
Check Pinterest

What would you do with 15 extra minutes?

I'm starting to read this book again. I'm not only going to blog everyday, but I'm going to read the Book of Mormon everyday too. I know I'll be blessed by being obedient and I need every single blessing I can get!
