Saturday is my favorite day of the week......
for more reasons than I don't have to go to work.
The best reason is.......
I get to have Maisy over to play every Saturday!

Today it was so nice outside~
We had the door open and this little thing found herself standing at the screen door talking to the birds and rocks and clouds and anything else she could see.

She even let out a squeel a couple of times.
This little girl has my completely and I treasure our play days......especially when the weather is nice and we can look outside!!

Happy Valentine's Day to me!

Sweetiepie asked what I wanted for Valentine's day.....
He's a big roses kind of guy.....
but I didn't want roses or candy~I wanted .....
Geraniums.
My front porch needed a little LOVE!

Do you watch the Bachelor?
I have a love/hate thing about that show.
I carry on and complain the whole time it's on........
but I never miss a show and if I do I DVR it.
(I need to get a life!)

but tonight......finally......
all my hollering at the TV paid off

so long Tierra~you are gone!

can't wait til next week!

 I love PINTEREST
It's a perfect way to waste a lot of time
and get tons of great ideas!!

Here's my latest find.....
PINK POPCORN

It's like magic~it turned this plain popcorn PINK

Here's the finished product
it turned out GREAT!
I'm going to put it in a clear cellophane bag
with a pink bow of course.
Perfect for Sweetiepies Home Teaching families
and probably for a couple of GRANDS too.

Pink Popcorn
You can use any red Jell-O powder for this; I tried cherry and raspberry and liked raspberry better, although cherry was a paler pink.
Lots of popped popcorn – a big bowl (around 15 cups or so)
2 cups sugar
1/2 small box red Jell-O gelatin powder
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Put the popped popcorn in a large bowl, carefully picking out any unpopped kernels. (I do this by popping into one bowl, then lightly scooping out the popcorn with my hands into another, leaving the unpopped kernels in the bottom.) Preheat the oven to 250F. Line one or two rimmed baking sheets with foil.
In a medium saucepan (with room for the mixture to at least double in size), bring the sugar, Jell-O, water and butter to a boil. Once fully boiling cook for 4 minutes without stirring, swirling the bowl occasionally. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and soda. Pour over the popcorn and toss with tongs to coat completely. Spread out onto the baking sheets and bake, stirring once or twice, for an hour. Set aside to cool.

Just a little way of showing "Sweetiepie" why I love him!
We'll write a new reason every day........
(just something to think about).
(note to self:  time to repaint the chalk board door)
