In an effort to save energy and keep our home cooler we added french doors between our breakfast room and our dining room.
We don't use our dining room or game room very often, but we were running a second A/C on that side of the house to keep the whole house cooler~
then one day....all the sudden the idea came......
block off that side of the house, so the french doors were installed.

and the best part of all...........
We saved $89.00 on our electricity bill!~
Yep, that's right.....our bill went DOWN $89.00 during the hottest months of the year! Those doors will pay for themselves in just a couple of months.
I can't wait to decorate them for Christmas with pretty wreaths.....
and when the weather cools down we can open them up again...but until then, the dining room remains above 90 degrees, while the rest of the house is cool!
Yeah!
