HOLY CRAP.......
something to think about!

Are you a crap factory? And by that, I’m asking, do you manufacture your own unhappiness? All it takes to be in the crap producing business is to be pessimistic, negative and saturate your world with feelings of resentment and ill will. Oh yeah, don’t forget to tell everyone how bad things are and that you will never be satisfied. Being a crap producing factory is one of the easiest things in the world to accomplish.

A person becomes a crap factory by thinking crappy thoughts on a regular basis. If you habitually feel that everything is going to turn out bad, or that other people are getting what they do not deserve and you are not getting what you deserve, you’re not only stepping in crap, you’re producing it. "I will be happy when I get some sleep, when I make a more money, when I lose weight, or when my significant other helps out more". When you think and say things like this, you are creating pressure, stress, isolation, anger, frustration and what you're really saying is, "I will be UNHAPPY until these things happen..."

Crap factory describes what so many people do – they manufacture their own unhappiness. You are a factory of some sort. Every day you are either manufacturing something good or you are manufacturing crap. There are so many things in life that are out of your control that lead to unhappiness, it is silly to make the pile higher by producing your own brand of crap. A large proportion of the crap in the average person’s life is self-manufactured. If you don’t consciously decide what you produce at your factory each day, your environment and your past experience will determine it for you. Bad crap happens all the time to good people, just make sure you’re not adding to the pile by producing your own crap.

I tried a new recipe  a few weeks ago...........
Sweetiepie loved it
I had one helping...he ate the rest.
So when I asked what he wanted for dinner
his answer was "Potato Beef Casserole".

Here's the recipe from
Trisha Yearwood
YUMMY!!

Ingredienta:
3 pounds red potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick
Salt
Vegetable oil, to coat pan
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Black pepper
2 cups milk
2 cups grated sharp Cheddar
1/2 cup unseasoned dry breadcrumbs
Directions
Place the potatoes in a large saucepan with water to cover by 1 inch. Add a generous pinch of salt and cook for 15 minutes, or until tender. Potatoes cook quickly. Test often for tenderness and don't overcook them. Alternatively, cook the potatoes in a pressure cooker for 5 minutes, releasing the pressure immediately to prevent overcooking. Drain the potatoes and arrange them in a 6- by 9- by 2-inch casserole dish.

In a large skillet, add a little oil to coat the pan. Combine the beef and onion and cook together over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion softened, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt the butter in a medium saucepan and whisk in the flour to make a roux. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture bubbles and the flour turns light brown in color. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to stir while cooking over medium heat. When the mixture thickens, season with salt and pepper, then stir in the cheese and browned beef and onions.

Pour the ground beef mixture over the potatoes and bake the casserole for 20 minutes, until heated through and bubbling. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top of the casserole and bake until the crumbs are toasted, about 5 minutes longer.

4 o'clock

Today is Sweetiepie's birthday!

We had a visit from his son and daughter-in-law for his birthday and surprised him with a birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse and a Rattlers game.

Hartley caught a game bal;
(lucky dog)

They played a special tribute to the 19 fallen Fire Fighters during half time
These are Fire Fighters from all over the state....
it brought tears to our eyes.

This was a tribute to his Dad for his birthday!

Beginning at 4 o'clock and lasting all evening....
it was a special birthday for a special guy!

Habits

Habits.........Yeah, I have a few........

I crack my knuckles (don't judge)
I'm not proud, but I'll tell ya, it seems to make my hands feel better.

TRUTH: There is no evidence that proves that knuckle cracking leads to arthritis! HURRAY!

 This is a new habit........
I gave up Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper...
(haven't had a soda since I was in the hospital in Dec.,
But...now I've replaced it with
CANDY CRUSH.....
actually, it might not really be a habit but an
ADDICTION

and probably the worst HABIT of them all......

I love, love, love to crunch ice!!
I guess it's better than smoking,  but not much..............

At least I'm not a quitter~

so why do I have on footie socks, you ask.....
because I cannot stand to go barefoot!

I had some oral surgery today.
I have a new dentist, Brian Goodman, D.D.S.
He's awesome!!!
If you're looking for a good dentist, he's your man.
I took it easy today, but really, no pain.
Hard for me to believe!
