First the stove went out, then the fridge.
Went to a friends estate sale and found this black Sears model for a decent price....only problem....the doors open on the wrong side.

See this man......Jeff Johnson
he's married to Jenny. He can do anything and has done many things for us!! If Sweetiepie were to ever have a BFF it would be Jeff!
We think the world of him!!
Thanks Jenny for sharing him with us!~

Guess who's coming to dinner?

Lorraine Moffitt and Sandra Langley~

We home teach Lorraine Moffitt and we usually try to take her out to dinner, or for ice cream, or a drive and this month we had her over for dinner. We invited Sandra just for kicks. She's our Relief Society Pres., she's always serving others so we wanted to serve her!
Good food and great company!!

Here's the answers.......

Did you get any right?

Gingrich purchased his home (above) in McLean in 2000 for $995,000. The 5-bedroom, 5-bath home has 5,206 square feet of living space. The Colonial-style home was built in 1987. Only 10 miles from the White House, McLean is a critical suburban outpost for the Beltway political crowd.

Out of the slew of GOP candidates, Romney also owns the most real estate, although he has downsized in the last few years. He currently owns a townhouse in Boston, as well as a beachfront home in La Jolla, Calif., which he bought in 2008 for $12 million. Romney applied for a permit to expand his beachfront La Jolla home in 2011 and will reportedly begin construction when his presidential campaign is finished.

Here's the other view of Romney's house

At 76, Paul has been successful in rallying younger voters seeking a leader who promises to alter the political structure of the country. And true to the profile of a man who advocates people doing things for themselves — in politics or elsewhere — it's not surprising to find that Paul is trying to sell his house via the Internet without a real estate agent or broker. The Lake Jackson, TX home is priced at $325,000 and has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 5,500 square feet of living space.

In 2007, after much controversy about whether he and his large family actually resided in Pennsylvania during his Senate terms, Santorum bought a yellow Colonial-style home in Great Falls, Va., for $2 million in 2007. The 4-bedroom, 5-bath home sits on five acres and includes a cobbled drive and heated pool.

When the economy went in the tank
Sweetiepie and I had that talk about what we could cut back on or do without.

Hair? Nope
Nails? Nope
Eating out? Nope
Cleaning lady? Nope
Dry Cleaning? Yep........

So guess who got that job? Yep....ME!!

Monday night, good TV between
The Bachelor
The Debate
and The Suns game
I decided to set up the ironing board right in front of the TV~
I can sit in my chair and watch TV all night long and get the ironing done too!
I remember when I was in 7th or 8th grade I would do ironing for others for 10 cents a piece. Can you imagine?

Actually, I don't mind ironing.....especially when it's from the comfort of my chair planted in front of the TV.

Here's my view.......

Best Sunday night we've had in a long time..........

We had dinner and played pool with some of my favorite people

Aunt Nel came to visit on her way to St. George so we figured we'd take advantage of her visit and have my cuz Jimmy, his wife Carol and their 3 grandsons, Jonathan, Justin and Jesse over for dinner.
I just can't get enough of these people...love them dearly!!

Love you Jim and Carol....

And here's what we had for dinner......

Good food, good fun and good company!!

This is my kind of cooking.....

I always use a crock pot liner......
If you've never tried them, you must!!

Then, just open a bunch of cans.......

Turn the crock pot on.....and......wa la!!
And yummy dinner I might add!

Chicken Enchilada Soup

1 - 28 can Las Palmas Green Sauce
1 15 oz diced tomatoes
1 1/2 lb cooked shredded chicken breasts Boil and keep broth
1 can diced Mexican tomatoes
2 cans diced green chilies
1can corn
1-can pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 medium chopped onion
2 Tbsp minced garlic
32 oz chicken broth
2 tsp cumin ground
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 tsp salt
1 can tomato sauce
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp pepper

Combine all ingredients and cook for 7 to 8 hours. If you don’t want to pre cook the chicken, use chicken strips or tenders and put in with other ingredients and after 5 or so hours of cooking take chicken out and shred.

Serve with sour cream, cheese, avocados, tomatoes green onions and fried tortillas strips.

The gift that keeps on giving!!!

Sweetiepie's daughter, Sharon, gave him 5 loaves of whole wheat, homemade bread for Christmas! A treat at our house......

She also included a coupon for 2 loaves every month for 1 year!
So, this morning for breakfast, I cheated and had a slice of toast.

Loved every single bite!~

Better than a candy bar to me.

I'll probably regret it come weigh in day....but today.....no guilt, no regret just pure {{fattening, CARB }} joy.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

PS.....OOPS, I've been busted.....
found this comment from Sassy

I came looking for your post today...I missed you!!!! Have a GREAT weekend friend!

2 post today, promise, to make up for it. So, I'll do another one tonight!

I'm addicted to............
What would the world be like without {{CHOCOLATE}}?
I don't think it would be fun at all

Here's what Dr. Oz has to say about it:

Chocolate is similar, as University of Michigan researchers proved, using the medication naloxone.
Normally, this drug is used to treat heroin overdose, because it stops heroin from attaching to receptors on brain cells.
The research team gave naloxone, not to heroin addicts, but to chocolate lovers – people who really tended to binge on chocolate.

After infusing the drug intravenously, the researchers offered a tray of chocolate candies.
It turned out that chocolate had lost much of its appeal, showing that the lure of chocolate is not all taste and mouth-feel.
Rather, chocolate HIJACKS your brain chemistry,
triggering the same receptors that heroin affects, and when researchers block that brain effect with naloxone, much of chocolate’s attraction is gone.

Now I get it....my brain chemistry has been HIJACKED!!
That explains a lot....I think I need to get me some {{NALOXONE}}

Everything has it's price..........

I love my pretty, shiny, white floors..........
but about every couple of months this is where you can find me...
(actually it's really good therapy for me)

Vinegar, water, a soft rag, a little elbow grease.....and the secret ingredient.....

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers....they're awesome!!

And once again.....a clean floor. So clean you could eat off of it.....but who'd want to!

Yep, I'm my MOTHER'S daughter.
