But, we have these great aluminum glasses
and when I drink out of them it takes me back to being a kid in HOT, HOT Phoenix~there was nothing like a cold drink of water or soda out of an aluminum glass

Hoke and Diane gave us a set of them a few years ago and during the summer they are one of my favorite things!

I saw this on my Mary Engelbreit’s calendar and had a good chuckle. Everyday , I think I am going to get everything done and then go sit and relax. Well that doesn't work so then I just forced myself to go sit and watch TV, my mind was racing about what I could be doing instead. Or even worse, what I would do once I got up from this chair. Sigh.

(Blogging is the most relaxing thing to me, maybe that's why I love it so much)

So, it was only 112 stinkin' degrees today
I went to the freezer to get a cup of ice to have a nice cold drink
and this is what I found!!

EMPTY!

So, I braved the weather and the elements and went out to the patio to the ice machine to fill the ice bucket

So, I jumped in the car and went to Mickey D's to buy some ICE!
"Welcome to McDonald's, may I take your order"
"Yeah, I'd like 2 bags of ICE, please"
"Sorry, our ICE machine isn't working very well, it's ......

I'm starting to PANIC......I need ICE!
So, I drove to...yep, SONIC....

"Welcome to Sonic, may I take your order"

"Sorry, we're not selling ice today, our machine isn't making enough ICE to keep up with our drink orders, it's .........

The 4th of July was always a big camping weekend for my family.
My mother's family always have their family reunion on the weekend of the 4th and this year is no exception.
As a matter of fact, some of my family has already left and they are so excited to go camping. I've never been a camper and I probably never will be. We're going to the family reunion Sat. (for the day only) then we'll be home in time for bed.

How fun would this be..........planted on your refrigerator. Let the kids play, mom and dad play, heck everyone could play. You could let your family know what you need from them that particular day. Here's where I found it.



Here's another game that would be fun to play anywhere. Take it in the car, the kids could ask each other a question then spin....it would sure make cleaning the kitchen more fun when your kids are supposed to be loading the dishwaher.....use it in YW or in your Sunday School class....loads of fun. This one could also help you make decisions about your day. I'm going to go get me one tomorrow!~It will be a hoot next time the grand kids come over.
