What a weekend.........
Friday night was Fabulous Fairfield Friday Night
(Enrichment Super Activity)

Saturday was "The best Garage Sale ever"!
Here's a few of the goodies I snagged.....
It helps that my BFF, Terri has the best darn stuff
and I got a sneak peek......SCORE!

Look at this darling chocolate picture~I got 2 of them!

And....they're hanging here......in my dining room

Then the best of all.....a visit from the Grands!
Tanner and Rylle surprised us Sunday evening and Tanner made me this picture.....I love it!
I wouldn't take stuff down and hang just anything in my breakfast room, but that's exactly what I did with this! A work of ART!

The haunted house at our haunted house......

OK, my camera cannot do this cute house justice ......
but this haunted house is the cutest thing we've ever seen!
So many details....I wish I knew how to use my camera better
because you can't believe some of the cute things.....right down to the shingles!!

Every bit of it is stuff you could eat...don't know that you'd want to
but that's part of making a gingerbread house.....make it out of
stuff you can eat. Cheetos, chocolate, licorice, etc., etc., etc.

The boys giggled and giggled over that....love it when Grandma is scared.

If you want to blow your diet......
this recipe is worth it....for sure!

Apple Dumplings

2 Granny Smith apples
2 cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla
cinnamon
1 small can Mountain Dew

Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.

So, I got a call from Terri yesterday saying she was cleaning out her back room (we all know what that means) and wanted to have a garage sale.
Marla and I just redid a few rooms in our homes and are getting rid of a bunch of stuff too!

For 12 faces, place 1/3 cup (2 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave on high until melted, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes; stir. Using a small brush, paint chocolate inside glasses (if it hardens too soon, microwave 20 seconds more). Let set a few minutes before adding shake. Prepare glasses up to a day ahead, but don't fill until ready to serve.
Fill them with your favorite vanilla milk shake...enjoy!
We're definitely going to try these next time the GRANDS come over.

I found some black plates at Goodwill a few months ago.
I used them for a baby shower and then wondered what I was going to do with them......but then, remembering what my BFF Terri taught me, I decided to decorate with them.
These now sit on the desk in my living room.
I'm having fun decorating for Halloween this year just using a bunch of junk!

After a visit from these sweet GRANDS....things are never the same!
Last night the kids were busy playing while grownups were visiting at the table.....We always have a good time when they visit....but we always find little surprises all over the house.
Last night, I think they played Easter Bunny, hiding the candy out of the Witches cauldron that was full of goodies.......

then, as I looked around the house this is what I found.....

Found a big stash here.....Now I understand why Rylle tackled Tanner every time he went near this chair!
